Wow, what a great looking day!!!

Today we have the World card in the tarot. We have the Dagaz rune and we have No. 55 the "abundance and properity" hexagram. Bring it on!!!

Here is some information I found on-line for the I Ching. As I stated yesterday, the hexagrams are made up of two trigrams which are place on top of each of other. They combine to make the hexagrams and the different meanings. This is a very old, I mean thousands of years old system.

The following is a decription of each of the Pa Kua symbols:
1. Sky
Three solid lines were used to symbolize sky. The sky is strong and has divine power to provide infinite space to accommodate all. Using three solid lines to represent the sky is very the appropriate for its supreme being.
2.Earth
Three broken lines are used to symbolize earth. The earth is a gigantic object. It is a supporting body for human life and a burial ground for death. It is considered soft and receptive, because it can take a lot of punishments with tolerance.
3. Thunder
Two broken lines on top a solid line symbolize thunder. The two broken lines on top have the image of lighting and the bottom solid line symbolizes elevation. Thus, the image is lighting striking on the top of a mountain.
4.Wind
Two solid lines on top a broken line symbolize wind. The two solid lines represent the sky and energy. The broken line represents earth. Thus, this image is the sky and energy approaching earth. The wind is invisible and we can only justify its existence by observing the moving tree tops.
5. Water (Moon)
A solid line in between two broken lines symbolize water. The two broken lines represent the depression of earth (river banks). The solid line in the middle represents motion. This creates the image of water flowing in a river. In addition, this kua also represents the moon.
6. Fire (Sun)
A broken line inbetween two solid lines symbolize fire. The two solid lines indicate the movement of fire. The broken line is the center of the fire which is still. In addition, this kua also represents the Sun.
7. Mountain
A solid line on top of two broken lines symbolize mountain. The solid line represents elevation and the bottom two broken lines represent earth. Thus this image is a mountain elevated above the earth.
8. Marsh
A broken line on top of two solid lines symbolize marsh. The top broken line is water and the bottom two solid lines is sky. If we are looking down at a body of water anywhere on earth, we will see the reflected sky below the water surface. This seems to be a logical way to symbolize the Marsh Kua.

As you can see today's symbol is made up of Thunder over Fire or Sun.

So like the fates say, Have a really great day!!!

New things to look at

As you can see I have added some things to this blog. From now on you should be able to come here any day you wish or even everyday if you wish and look at the Tarot card of the day, the Rune of the day, and the I Ching symbol of the day.

I have always loved the Tarot and even took some classes in how to read the cards. I will happily do readings for anyone who asks, BTW. I really like the Runes also, but have never been able to learn them very well. So this will help me also. And the I Ching is a totally new interest for me, but interesting it certainly is. Each Hexagram is made up of two trigrams, the three line groups. I will post more explanations in the future.

As you can see for today they all three indicate some travel and contemplation. The Meditation hexagram, the Three of Wands tarot card and the Ehwaz rune.

Again, I will post more explanations in the future, for the time being, Enjoy!!

Bright blessings to all!!!

Girlfriends week!

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says "Oh Crap, She's up!"
Sister Life is too short to wake up with regrets.

So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.

If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.

Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly.

God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it.

Today is sister's day, Happy Sister's Day!

April Showers bring May flowers!!

I wish I lived near this bench. Although my allergies are giving me fits lately, I would still like to sit here.
Actually the allergies are not as bad as they use to be. I'm glad too. I think they were bad before because of where I lived. Alex's house was not in good condition. Old, run down, and in need of condemning really, but he still calls it home.
It's a rainy day today, but the temperature here is warm.
Going thru some revelations lately. Thinking about getting back into the game again too. It must be the Spring temperatures. I'm feeling restless and shut in, or boxed in. Just the basic, run of the mill, spring fever. I don't have anything holding me back either, just myself. Not wanting to face the aftermath of cutting loose.
I don't know.
Be Blessed!!

Tatting for Valentine's Day!!

Last week I started tatting hearts for Valentine cards. Now you know I don't have a sweetheart so these Valentine cards are for friends and family.

The yellow heart with purple buttons is for Ms. Sarah.
The pink heart is my daughter Mary.
And the purple heart with the red buttons is for Fran.

I just bought some blank cards at the craft store and decorated them with some cute stickers that I found and the tatted hearts.

The patterns with the buttons are Abby's Heart and can be found here. This is the first pattern I have ever worked with that has buttons, and I like it. I like buttons anyway and this is a very cute pattern. The pink heart is Rosmarie Peels pattern without the handle and it can be found here. Both of these are just great patterns and I highly recommend them.

I think the best part is that I have finally figured out how to upload photos from digital camera. Yeeehhhh!! Woooohoooo! Finally this blog can have more crafts and stuff of interest. So check back soon and see how it's going.

Bright Blessings to all!!

Getting Ready for Christmas

Someone sent me an e-mail asking me to update my blog, so I thought I'd take a minute to comply.

I have found a new place to live. It is closer to work, so I'm saving money on gas and putting less miles on my car, which is good. I'm living in a relatively new house, just a few years old. I'm secluded in my little room of the house and share the house with two men. Not that happy with that really, but as you know I desperately needed a place. And you know what they say about deperate measures. The house is set in lovely neighborhood in Summerville.

As far as Alex goes, he moved Dana in right after I left, probably the same day. One of my co-workers called him cold-hearted. I would agree if I thought Alex had a heart, but I lived with him and know differently. Darling Dana actually tried to get in touch with me, she wanted to send me pictures of my dogs. That's right MY Dogs!! I bought the dogs, I fed them, I bathed them, I cleaned up after them, and loved them and spent more time with them than anyone else there, so they are mine!! But she thought it was funny to try and send me pictures. What she would probably send is pictures of her and Alex and my dogs. The sorry B%^*&^*&%*& still thinks she took something worth having from me. Hasn't realized that I never, not once tried to keep it.

So basically, things are different and still not to my liking. I could like my new place just fine except I live with men. Loud, obnoxious, lazy, messy, rude, self righteous men. I can't even use the kitchen to fix myself something to eat unless I clean up the mess made by the previous user. The same with the laundry, if I want to use the washer or the dryer I have to pull the clothes in there out of the way. One of them has some kind of hearing problem and yells everything and lies more than he could tell the truth. Does things for himself only and expects me to thank him for it. The other one would rather spend money on beer than pay his bills, he of course reminds me very much of Alex. Yea, it's just been great. I was looking forward to Christmas, not because I get to go home, but because both of them were suppose to be leaving home. Not the case now. The Beer guy has a very young daughter who will be coming to spend Christmas with him.

I know that this sounds all negative. And while it is mostly, I am thankful for a few things. I am thankful that I don't live with Alex. I'm thankful that I don't have to spend all my money on him and his bills or wants or whatever. But the reality there are that things are not that different, just closer to work and a little more lonely. I no longer have the dogs to keep me company. And that feeling is the same as when my marriage broke up and my ex took my daughter to live in NC. I feel like I have lost three children now, a fate I would wish on no one, including Darling Dana. Chihuahuas are the size of babies. So having Ace and Bailey was like have two perpetual babies. It was great for me, I never had to worry about them growing into teenagers. Teenagers are horrible monsters that torture their family members. Spielburg had a cartoon about that once, it was too funny. I think teenagers inspire the horror movies. They are written by the family members they torture.

When I said I wanted to change this blog, I meant that I wanted to change from these little horror stories that mark my existence, and put more work into my crafts. I have been tatting a little lately, getting ready for Christmas. But I have NO Christmas spirit. I should be tatting and crocheting and making presents, but I don't feel like it. This has been a hard year for me, and I am just bone weiry now. I have a little money to get some gifts with, for immediate family only, and the heck with the rest.

If I could have a few Christmas wishes, I would wish for..
1.) A place of my own.
2.) A dog of my own, no one elses, just mine!!
3.) More work for everyone!!!
4.) Christmas parties with a lot of friends and family.
5.) More smiling, laughing, and looking forward to a greater time in life!!

So I wish everyone a happy, healthy and a very Merry Christmas!!!

Bright blessings!!
